Troubleshooting
- Reset Media Player.
To reset the media player mounted behind the display.
- You will need to unplug the ethernet cable and the power cable from the media player for at least 10 seconds.
- Plug back in the ethernet cable first, then the power cable.
- If video content does not come back, try this process again but plug the ethernet cable into the other port on the media player.
- My audio stopped playing.
RESET AUDIO OUTPUT
- Attach a USB mouse and keyboard to any spare USB ports on the back of your signage device. (small wireless keyboard came with your signage, may be attached to the back of the TV)
- Once attached, press ALT + F4. A black bar will appear across the top of the screen.
- Move the mouse to the top right hand corner of the screen and press the Speaker icon.
- In the Speaker drop down menu, select “Sound Settings”
- In the “Sound Preferences window”, select Output
- In the Play Sound Through box, select a different sound output (Digital Output S/PDIF). Then reselect the original choice (HDMI/DisplayPort2).
- Press the “Test Speakers” button to confirm sound output.
- A reboot of the machine may be required. To do so, unplug the player and wait 60 sec. then plug the player back in.
- How Do I Change the Resolution of My Digital Signage Device?
This knowledge base article will walk you through how to change the resolution of your XhibitSignage device.
What You’ll Need:- Xhibit device
- USB mouse
- USB keyboard
Change the Resolution on your Display
- If content appears on your screen, press ALT-F4 to close your digital signage application.
- Click on the “Gear” icon in the top right corner of your screen to access the player menu. The “Gear” icon will appear in the toolbar once your signage is closed.
- Click “System Settings” to access your player’s settings.
NOTE: If the digital signage application reopens after you have opened the settings window,
ALT+TAB will bring it back to the foreground. - Do not adjust any of the options in your settings menu unless under the explicit direction of a member of the Mvix Digital Signage support staff. Making unauthorized adjustments to player options can disrupt your playback or even void your warranty.
- Click on Displays, as shown below:
- On the left side, underneath the image showing your display(s), there is a dropdown for Resolution. 4k Resolution is available on the “Xhibit Enterprise” system. Xhibit Mykro, Xhibit Lite and Xhibit Plus support
resolutions up to 1080p. Click the dropdown and select either 720p or 1080p depending on your desired resolution. - Then, Click “Keep the Configuration” in the pop-up window
- After, Click “Apply” to finalize these changes.
- On the left side, underneath the image showing your display(s), there is a dropdown for Resolution. 4k Resolution is available on the “Xhibit Enterprise” system. Xhibit Mykro, Xhibit Lite and Xhibit Plus support resolutions up to 1080p. Click the dropdown and select either 720p or 1080p depending on your desired resolution.
- Note – Set the refresh Rate to 60 Hz, or the player may have issues updating the screen until after the “Keep Configuration” button reverts
- Then, Click “Keep the Configuration” in the pop-up window
